How can I do a spoof voice over like Taff Wars vids on youtube or Ross Kemp on Gangs Spoof?

Ive tried to make one with windows movie maker and using the narrate feature but the voicees I record play back very very quiet and the video sound drowns my voices.
Ive even tried to record voices in audacity and import them over but I still have the same trouble,it must be quite simple but Im stuck. Can anyone help please?

try recording it with wavepad:

then adding the wav file to the video in movie maker

then go to Tools > Audio Levels and select
Audio/Music
